the PICASSOs – Prep to Grade 3

This 1 ½ hr class is designed to guide budding artists to explore a range of techniques and mediums. The aim is to expose each child with a variety of different styles and applications throughout each term to encourage experimentation. Each week a different media based is explored, with a demo, example or in depth instructions provided at the start of each class, students then complete their artwork using the guidance that has been given as well as further assistance throughout the class. Occasionally a project will be undertaken over a 2-3 week period (such as Papier Mache or landscape painting) where 1.5 hours is not enough time to to get through the process. This approach allows for children to travel at their own pace to maximize learning. For our fast creatives who finish early, if their art has been fully developed, we then encourage our Picasso’s to practise drawing something new using a reference to develop their observation skills. Classes are capped at 8 to ensure each student receives appropriate direction and attention.

Picasso Class Fees
Option 1-Pay As You Go
$50.00 + GST ($55.00) per week which includes ALL SUPPLIES!
Tammy’s Art Studio provides coloured paper, paint, watercolours, charcoal, paper mache, clay, tools and equipment and so much more. No registration fees and no uniforms to buy!
Option 2-Pay by the Term
Pay up front at the start of the term and pay only $45.00 + GST ($49.50) per class.
Term length varies between 8 and 9 weeks on average.

Make-Up Classes
We offer 1 make-up session a term. So if your child is sick or unable to attend a class for any reason you can attend 2 classes in any other week in another class. It is the parent’s responsibility to book their make-up class with the teacher so the necessary preparations can be made for your child to catch up on the lesson they missed.
